For over 20 years I have been a member of the Rat Patrol, a global mutant bicycle club. This has led to transportation activism efforts in Ghana and a side hustle as a pedal powered contraptor.
I have worked in the festival and spectacle industry for Redmoon Theater (Chicago), Burning Man, Big Art Studios (Oakland), Natural Event (Australia), Corinbank (Canberra), and others. This has resulted in numerous colossal art projects, notably for Dan Das Mann, Giant Globes, Playa Bike Repair, and many more. I have appeared on two reality shows: Mad Scientists, and Dirty Rotten Survival. I have cast for or shot sizzle reels for 16 other projects that never saw the light of day. I have appeared in the Chicago Reader, Punk Planet, and my work has appeared in the New York Times, and I have appeared on NPR's Worldview. My writing has been published in The Whistlepig Literary Journal, and I self-published The Diary of Fletcher Ames Hatch I have acted as the officiant at 14 weddings. My motto: I will marry you for $200 or less or your next wedding is free! I have contributed in some way to the following podcasts: LPOTL, Road Work, Hammer Lane Legends, Futility Closet, Desert Oracle. | |
